Howdo Critters…Today I have a question for several of my much admired cowhores…er, cohorts.

To the point: What if somebody doesn’t LIKE to BLOG?

What if someone can rip through a paragraph or two on a subject with ease…but dislikes the long narrative? Often this person, (a friend of a friend, really)…often this person can micro-blog like a wildcat…but it feels like a rabies shot in the gut to squeeze out a decent sized blog. And I (er, my friend) comes from a writing background…scripts, theses, papers, etc.

Yet we are all pushed to blog, to make our little entrepreneur brains kick blogging’s ass.

But whadda ya do if that shit bores you to tears? Huh?

Asking this to: Kimberly Castleberry, Grandma Mary, Lori Randall Stradtman, Erika Napoletano, Liz Strauss and anyone else who has something to say about this~!

[and wow, pardon the bad segue, but anyone else noticed how many of us come from Theater backgrounds...spooooky]

First of all, LOVE your new site design Missy!! I love your colors and your new focus on Artists. You’re a natural!

In response to your question, usually it’s guys who worry about the length, but I’ll reassure you as well. (Did I really say that? See what you do to me!!) With mobile devise usage climbing at an astronomical rate you’re nuts to write a lot of long posts. Who wants to read War and Peace via their iPhone? Not me. I’m actually trying for short, pithy posts that get the message out there in 200 words or less these days, with an occasional info-bomb that’s up to 500 words, with lots of pictures/videos to break things up.

The human eye is a delicate, fragile creature of whimsey. It needs to be romanced and treated right. Long posts hurt. I think you’re on the right track!

Thank you, Lori~! (for the design compliment, too.)

I just felt the need to pet my lil’ brain and tell it that it’s okay…it can stay in the micro-world.

Your examples and predictions are on the money as far as I’m concerned. (But I was concerned, thus the need to be needy…Ha~!)

I love your new design too Janet darling!  I have to say I’m with you.  Writing a long post kicks me in the behind (and it cracks me up that I wrote a whole book – well a third of it, anyway).  That’s why I went with a video blog!  I like short posts.  Add a video or pretty pictures.  It’s needs to be as  long as you want it to be.  You can be the queen of short biscuit bites of knowledge!  Keep doing what you are doing!
