I must tell you, I have this thing…yes, THING for brilliant people. I love being around them. I love listening to them. I basically want to tuck them into my pocket and take them home with me.

Nola is tucked away, but I’ll share her with you.

Here’s a bit about her massively intelligent creativity, from her website:

About Nola

Nola started her design firm in 1995 when she decided to use her lifetime of creativity as the basis of a small business. Having studied art, marketing, and customer service, Nola feels that she brings a unique perspective to the Graphic Design arena. Nola makes it her mission to work closely with you to create the perfect image for your business. Her industry knowledge; commitment to excellent customer service; and quick turnaround time makes her the perfect solution to meet your high standards. She continuously studies marketing and business trends to keep products and services up to date and fresh, and to make sure your designs will stand the test of time.

Nola Cooper is both a skilled website designer and developer as well as a talented graphic designer. She can give you the look to go with the functionality…for an all around graphically beautiful design!

Isn’t Nola’s Design work simply elegant? Clean and clear, with great intelligence involved in it’s creation. You can see some other examples HERE.

But she also writes an outstanding Blog, giving us sweet bits of important information to fold away into our brains and use when needed.

These are a some of Nola’s latest juicy creations:

Be a Business, Not a Friend

All brilliant. The first two being from an entire series of posts she’s been writing concerning WordPress. And the last? Some of the best advice I’ve read in a while. something to truly put to use.

Those are some of the reasons I’m keeping an eye on Nola~! I am NOT going to let her go off and be all creative without keeping up with her. Nope.

So there’s your Nola-Biscuit…enjoy~! And don’t miss reading her blog, Questions for your Website Designer, on her special PAGE.

*smoochies, y’all~!

Idea of the Day (from the archives)

Posted on October 20th, 2009 | Biscuit,Uncategorized Category

I have friends who opened a sweet (& popular) little café close to my house last year. I adore this place…great food, coffee, pastries…serving breakfast/lunch/dinner. It’s an all-around hot spot for meeting people and relaxing. Only one draw back–no WiFi.

Yes, I know. No WiFi in a cafe these days is rough. I personally have been cursing this since they opened. I want to take clients there. I want to get out of the house. I want to stuff my face with fresh pastries and spill crumbs onto my MacBook keyboard.

So I sent a note to my friend, I called her, I even wrangled her attention when I stopped in–Get me WiFi, I pleaded~! But being such a new restaurant, they just can’t swing it yet.

Then I had my idea: my company would sponsor WiFi for them~! Win/Win, folks~! So we worked out a deal of equal reciprocity and are now scooting all of the little ducks into their rows. By this time next week their new WiFi will be up and running.

I’m ecstatic. They’re ecstatic. I thing the pastries are even happy.
